  • Sad but True – Brad is leaving The Dead Set 🙁

This guy… This guy right here. Brad ‘flailing limbs’ Thomas. The architect of the blast beat. The deliverer of heaviness. The engine room of The Dead Set, The driver of the tour bus, The Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla! They say all good things must come to an end. And sadly, for all of us, Brad’s time in the Dead Set is coming to an end ?

Brad has respectfully expressed an interest to us in wanting to wind down extra calicular activities in bands outside of his beloved Damage Inc (Australia’s numero uno Metallica tribute band). So, with tears welling in our eyes as we type this… we announce his departure from The Dead Set.

We want to thank Brad for everything he’s done to lift this scrappy little rock n roll band from the death throes we found ourselves in when he joined back in 2020. His talents behind the tubs is without question and his delivery has changed the sound of TDS for the better… forever. His skills as an audio engineer have made our DIY recording efforts sound better than we could ever have imagined! But most importantly, his camaraderie, sense of humour and general good bloke-dness have made him an absolute pleasure to make music with.

But fear not folks…. Brad’s still going to lend a hand to mix our second album which is edging ever closer to being ready to share with you all! His drumming will be on every track! And you may just see him behind the kit for us at a gig over the next few months until a replacement can be found. And of course you can always see him in Damage Inc – The Australian Metallica Tribute Band

So Brad, from the three of us… an enormous thank you to an enormous talent that will be enormously missed. We wish you continued success with Damage Inc mate. We love you and we will miss you!

    Big. Shoes. To. Fill ?

    Love,

    Craig, Phil & Suzi xox
